Everyone should be able to use this site.
If something here is hard to read, hard to hear, or hard to operate, we want to know about it. Tell us and we'll fix what we can, and say so plainly when we can't.
WCAG 2.2, level AA.
We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at level AA. It is the standard most often cited in Americans with Disabilities Act cases, and it is the technical basis of the European Accessibility Act.
We check as we build, by hand and with automated tools. We are not claiming a perfect score. We are claiming that the standard is the target and that we keep working at it.
- Text and background colors are checked for contrast, so the words stay readable.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline stays visible while you move through it.
- Images that carry meaning have alt text. Decorative ones are hidden from screen readers instead of read aloud.
- Headings run in order, so a screen reader can skim a page the way your eye does.
- Motion honors your system's reduce-motion setting, and the scrolling banner can be paused.
- Nothing on the site depends on color alone to make sense.
- Forms label their fields properly and say what went wrong when something fails.
The parts we do not control.
Some of what you see here is built by other companies and dropped into our pages: the giving form, the contact form, the class payment pages, the student login, and the podcast players. We do not write their code and we cannot guarantee it meets the standard.
If one of those blocks you, do not give up on us. Email us and we will take your information another way, then push the vendor to fix their end.
Older documents and older video captions may also lag behind. We are working through them.

A person reads every one of these. We'll write back as soon as we can, and if the fix belongs to someone else's code, we'll say so instead of leaving you wondering.
